WACO/TROMSØ

For the course DES 3522: Arctic Design at the Harvard GSD, I wrote an essay exploring winter weather infrastructure in Texas and Norway. To complement the written analysis, I created an animated data visualization (page 6) illustrating the relationship between energy production, consumption, and temperature during Winter Storm Uri, which devastated Texas. The visualization compares hourly energy load data from Texas with Norway's highly resilient electrical grid, highlighting the stark differences in infrastructure and preparedness for extreme weather.

This project utilized data from NOAA, ERCOT, and Statnett and was developed using R, ArcGIS, ArcPy (Python for ArcGIS), Google Earth Engine, and Adobe Suite.
